Tour Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Srinagar - local sightseeing

Welcome in Kashmir! You will be met by our representative at the Srinagar airport and transfer to the Hotel. Afternoon sightseeing of the Mughal Gardens, visiting Nishat Bagh built by Asaf Khan, the brother-in- law of Jehangir in 1632 AD, and Shalimar Bagh built by Jehangir for his wife empress Nur Jahan. All the gardens are situated on the banks of the Dal Lake with the Zabarwan hills in the background. In the evening you will take a Shikara ride on Dal Lake, where you visit the floating vegetable gardens. While riding the Shikara there are plenty of opportunities for bird watching with plentiful species including Kingfisher, Little Bittern, Common Pariah Kites, Grebe etc. Stay overnight in Srinagar.

Day 2 : Srinagar – Excursion to Yusmarg (51 Kms/02 hours)

Today after breakfast proceed for the full day trip to Yusmarg (this idyllic meadow) is ideal for a day's picnic or a short walk/Pony (at own cost) along the mighty 'Doodh Ganga' river, its name deriving from its milk white foam. Further down, a captivating lake - Nilnag, is cradled by hills Picnic on its banks or simply doze in the sun. A starting point for many peaks like 'Trata Kutti' (altitude 4745 meters) and 'Sang-safed' this is a trekkers base. The enchanting meadows sway with gentle breeze that brings the fragrance of the pine and conifer trees. In the evening return back to Srinagar and stay overnight.

Day 3 : Srinagar – Exursion to Naranag (48 Kms/2 hours)

Today after breakfast proceed for the full day trip to Naranag (or Nara Nag), at an altitude of 2130 meters, it is a tourist village of Ganderbal district, Jammu and Kashmir. It is known for its scenic meadows, lakes and mountains, it is a base camp for trekking to the Mount Haramukh 16870 ft (5142 meters), The Naranag temple is the main attraction for the tourists. It is one of the important archaeological sites of the country. The site consists of a cluster of temples facing each other at a distance of about 200 meters. Historians say that the temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and was built by Lalitaditya Muktapida of the Kayastha Naga Karkota Dynasty in the 8th century AD. It is believed that the king Awantivarman paid a visit and donated a pedestal for bathing at Bhutsher. In the evening return back to Srinagar and stay overnight.

Day 4 : Srinagar – Excursion to Doodhpathri (52 Kms/2 hours)

Today after breakfast proceed for the full day trip to Doodhpathri (Valley of Milk) lies in a bowl shaped valley in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas, at an altitude of 2730 meters (8957 feet) above sea level. It is an alpine valley covered with snow clad mountains and the meadows of Pine Fir and Deodar. The natural meadows, which are covered with snow in winter, allow the growth of wild flowers such as daisies, forget-me-nots and butter cups during spring and summer. One can have pony for these places (Water Fall, Tangnar, Mujpathri, Palmaidan). In the evening return back to Srinagar and stay overnight.

Day 5 : Srinagar – Excursion to Gulmarg (60 kms/2 hours One Way)

Today after breakfast in the morning, proceed for Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers) 2730 meters above the sea level. Gulmarg has one of the best Ski slopes in the world and highest golf course with 18 holes. If weather permits one can also have the view of Nanga Parbat, the naked mountain that is over 26000 feets and dominates the entire region, also enjoy cable car (Gondola) for mountain ride upto khilangmarg. In the evening drive back to Srinagar and stay overnight.

Day 6 : Srinagar – Excursion to Pahalgam (95 kms/2 ½ hours One Way)

After breakfast drive to Pahalgam (The valley of shepherds). En-route, visit the saffron fields of pampore, Awantipura Ruins (1100 years old temple of Lord Vishnu built by the King Awantivarman), and enjoy the beautiful countryside. Drive throught the pine forests. Arrive at Pahalgam and enjoy Lidder stream. Later walk along pony trails with a magnificent view of the mountains. In the evening drive back to Srinagar and stay overnight.

Day 7 : Srinagar – Excursion to Sonamarg (85 kms/2 hours One Way)

Today after breakfast in the morning proceed for Sonmarg (Meadow of Gold). Sonmarg is situated in a valley streamed with flowers and surrounded by mountains. The drive to Sonmarg passes Nallah Sindh, a major tributary of the Jehlum River in the Kashmir valley. Sonamarg is the beginning of the enchanted journey into a natural wonderland, surrounded by pine forest mountains upto 5300 meters high, the valley is divided by a spur of the "Thajiwas Range Mountains" one can have a pony ride to visit Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round the year, the major attraction in summer months. After enjoying beautiful snowcapped peaks and glaciers, drive back to Srinagar and stay overnight.

Day 8 : Departure Srinagar

After breakfast, check out of the Hotel and transfer to Airport for your onward/return journey with pleasant memories.

  • 25% of Holiday Package Cost will be applicable, Cancelled 51 Days or More
  • 50% of Holiday Package Cost will be applicable, Cancelled between 50 – 36 Days
  • 75% of Holiday Package Cost will be applicable, Cancelled between 35 – 21 Days
  • 100% of Holiday Package Cost will be applicable, Cancelled 20 Days or less.

Important Notes

  • Hotel normal check in time is 1200 - 1400 hours and check out time is 1000 - 1200 hours.
  • Package cost is subject to change until full confirmation for package tour.
  • Rooms are subject to availability.
  • Room type (double or twin is subject to availability and is at sole discretion of the hotel).

  • As of now we are not holding any service, it is Subject to Availability. Booking process will start only after receiving booking amount.
  • Above tour prices are subject to change in the event of increase in hotel room rates levy by the hotel especially during Peak Season/Holiday surcharge and major events/fairs and convention.
  • If Tour is in group & one may have to wait intermittently for transfers especially for pick-up and dropping as transfers services are used for other group tourists too.
  • The time schedule fixed by the local tour operator should be strictly adhered to. For any inconvenience, loss or consequence suffered due to tourist’s failure to keep the local tour operators timings, the tourist alone would be responsible. Please also note that unlike in the case of individual tailor made tour packages; you might have to adjust timings for the sake of general member of your tour group. Hotels mentioned now are only proposed at the moment. The hotel named in the service voucher shall be final.
  • Any incidental cost due to any change in the itinerary/ stay on account of flight cancellation due to bad weather, ill health, roadblocks and/or any factors beyond control will be borne by Guests only.
  • This intimation supersede all previous offers by Company and any verbal communication or offer made earlier by any of our representatives.

Sightseeing Restrictions due to Taxi Union:

In Pahalgam: Sightseeing of Chandanwadi, Betaab Valley, Baisaran Valley and Aru Valley are not included. If one wishes to visit the same, they can hire a taxi directly at Pahalgam taxi on their own.

In Gulmarg:  The vehicle is allowed to drop at main Gulmarg or at your hotel and from there onwards one has to walk or can go by ponies on direct payment for local sightseeing in Gulmarg. 

In Sonmarg: The vehicle is allowed to drop at main Sonmarg and from there onwards one has to walk up to Thajwas or one can go by ponies on direct payment (Route is closed during Heavy Snowfall).

In Katra: Sightseeing of Shiv khori is not included (additional charges applicable)
